
Coach Mike was a multi-sport athlete at St. Benedict’s Prep High School. Where he played Basketball, Baseball, Lacrosse and ran Cross Country Track. He instills the importance of being both a great athlete and a great student in the players he coaches. Mike received a full academic college scholarships were he attended Virginia Union University (VUU) and Caldwell College. Coach Mike’s extensive experience working with the youth includes being an assistant teacher, camp counselor, mentor, and coach of various sports. He has honed his skills to effectively engage a large group, incite excitement, and successfully instruct players of various ages and skill levels.
“Setting up plays and being a coach is the easy part; mentoring is where you have to challenge yourself and the player to be greater than what they think they can be. It’s not about being better than anyone else, it’s about being your best and pushing yourself.”

Coach Danny played basketball for St. Anthony high school where he was a defensive specialist. He went on to play for West Side High school as a starting point guard. Danny now works as a film director, manager, and player development coach for the Essex County College Wolverines. His passion for basketball helps build enthusiasm and skill in the players he coaches. Danny is dedicated to helping MP Ballers athletes become better people both on and off the basketball court while preparing players for a higher level of basketball.

Coach Marcus attended Linden High School where he started as point guard for the varsity basketball team. He also played half/running back, kick return, and receiver for their varsity football team. Along with being a great athlete, Mark excelled in academics. After graduating from Linden High School he was recruited and went on to receive a college scholarship to play starting point guard at Lakeland college. He lead his team to their conference championship his freshmen year. In his sophomore year, Mark averaged almost 20 pts, 10 assist and was named first team all conference. Coach Mark now attends Bloomfield College as a student athlete. He believes that “basketball skills are extremely valuable but education is priceless.” He has won multiple tournament MVPs and league player of the month. “If your work ethics are as strong as your aspirations nothing is impossible”. Mark is determined to make every player in this program the best that they can be.
